Chilli Fried, London's leading global beat session, presents 2 nights celebrating the glorious sounds of Morocco.
On Wednesday, they welcome master musician Hassan Eraji to the stage of Darbucka's beautiful Bedouin basement bar.

Raised in Casablanca, but resident in the UK for many years, Hassan is a multi-instrumentalist (oud, violin, percussion etc) and composer whose music is deeply rooted in North African traditions, whilst reaching out to jazz, classical and a whole range of other global influences. Tonight he'll be previewing tracks from his forthcoming album with his new trio in what is sure to be a magical performance.

On the following night DJ UMB launches his new compilation CD Experience Morocco (Nascente), with another night of deep Moroccan dance sounds.
There'll a special tranced out live set from Gnawa UK..

Hailing from the southern Moroccan city of Tarroudant, Gnawa UK are now based in London. Performing traditional Gnawa music and a fusion of Gnawa and contemporary styles, their music has its roots in West Africa and is infused with the spirit of Morocco.
