Chris Knight aka Astroboy has been doing Edinburgh a mighty favour over the years..
The last 5 of which have been well spent building the Edinburgh institution and all round respected club Departure Lounge (at The Caves).
Established in 2003 as a platform for showcasing local talent and international artists in the musical fields of jazz, funk, Latin, afrobeat, hip-hop and so on.
Since then it has developed into one of the UKs most diverse and celebrated clubs that is happy to recognise music from accross the leftfield spectrum; a fact demonstrated by the sheer range of guests that have visited Edinburgh to play at The Caves over the years.

"Departure Lounge will be celebrating five memorable and often emotional years on the Edinburgh club circuit in July.
In this time we have seen packed dancefloors get down to a truly global range of acts, including talent from Sweden, New Zealand, Brazil, Africa, Portugal, USA, Japan, Spain, Canada, Finland and of course from across the UK.
We are proud to have remained true to our founding principles of supporting musical styles from across the spectrum, both through renowned global acts and the finest in local talent.
It is no secret that Departure Lounge is regarded across the UK and beyond as an essential feather-in-cap for bands and DJs alike, both for the unique atmosphere and the wonderment that is The Caves, our venue since the start."
