Description

FRIDAY 22ND – SUNDAY 24TH AUGUST 2008

Countryside, music, arts, cows, soundsystems, sculptures, people and lots of stuff...

"The original small-capacity, boldly pioneering non-corporate, independent festival.

If you’ve not visited Shambala – one of the UK’s original pioneering music & arts festivals – now is the time.

Well respected yet little known, the festival is the most genuine, non-commercial, diverse carnival weekend you’re likely to find in Britain’s fields. At least, that’s been the general feedback since last summer’s event…

Created by five friends in 1999 in Cambridge, and until last year based in the southwest English countryside, Shambala returns to Northamptonshire for the August Bank Holiday."

3 main venues:

The Shambala Stage – mind blowing Gypsy, Klezmer, ska, reggae, funk and live drum & bass.

The Lakeside Stage – world acoustic sounds, blues, jazz and African Kora create a fusion of traditions in a beautiful lakeside spot.

The Dance Dome – DJs, live producers and electronic acts.
